ASFAF organizes online seminar themed “Sports and Peace in Asia.”
In a bid to foster unity and understanding through the power of sports for all, the Asian Sport For All Federation (ASFAF) recently organized a groundbreaking seminar titled " Sports And Peac In Asia --- Building Bridges Through Sports For All." The virtual event, conducted via Zoom, brought together diverse voices and perspectives from across the continent. The seminar aimed to explore the role of sports in promoting peace and understanding among nations, transcending cultural, social, and political boundaries. With Asia being a melting pot of cultures and traditions, the event sought to highlight the unifying force of sports in this richly diverse region. The key speakers at the seminar were Dr. Hyunjoo Cho, and her lecture was about “Sport and Peace in the Korean Peninsula”, Prof. Dr, Zubaidullo Ubaidulloev, who discussed “Sport and Peace in East Asia: Diplomacy, Dialogue & Cooperation through Sport”, and Mr. Samer Kamal whose presentation was about ”The Athletes Legacy. How They Contributed to their Sport, Country, and Community”. Furthermore, the seminar served as a platform for networking among professionals, scholars, and enthusiasts passionate about the intersection of sports and peace. Attendees, who exceeded 500 participants, had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions, ask questions, and forge connections that could potentially lead to collaborative efforts in the future.
