ASFAF organizes online seminar themed “Sports and Peace in Asia.”

In a bid to foster unity and understanding through the power of sports for all, the Asian Sport For All Federation (ASFAF) recently organized a groundbreaking seminar titled " Sports And Peac In Asia --- Building Bridges Through Sports For All." The virtual event, conducted via Zoom, brought together diverse voices and perspectives from across the continent. The seminar aimed to explore the role of sports in promoting peace and understanding among nations, transcending cultural, social, and political boundaries. With Asia being a melting pot of cultures and traditions, the event sought to highlight the unifying force of sports in this richly diverse region. The key speakers at the seminar were Dr. Hyunjoo Cho, and her lecture was about “Sport and Peace in the Korean Peninsula”, Prof. Dr, Zubaidullo Ubaidulloev, who discussed “Sport and Peace in East Asia: Diplomacy, Dialogue & Cooperation through Sport”, and Mr. Samer Kamal whose presentation was about ”The Athletes Legacy. How They Contributed to their Sport, Country, and Community”. Furthermore, the seminar served as a platform for networking among professionals, scholars, and enthusiasts passionate about the intersection of sports and peace. Attendees, who exceeded 500 participants, had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions, ask questions, and forge connections that could potentially lead to collaborative efforts in the future. The Asian Sport For All Federation's commitment to promoting the values of inclusivity, respect, and understanding through sports was evident throughout the seminar. As participants logged in from various corners of Asia, the virtual event became a testament to the ability of sports to bring people together despite geographical distances.


Qatar Sports for All Federation signs a sponsorship contract for the Badball Team

The Qatar Sports for All Federation has signed a sponsorship and support contract for the Qatari Badball Team, consisting of 4 players, which will participate in the World Badball Championship in Brazil, scheduled to be held on November 8th, 2023. This came during a press conference held at the Lusail Sports Hall, in which Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, Director of Activities and Events at the Qatar Sports for All Federation, spoke about the details of the support and sponsorship contract.


Saudi Sports for All Federation Attends TAFISA World Congress Sports Conference in Germany

The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) has recently returned from Germany, where it represented the Kingdom at the 28th TAFISA (The Association For International Sport for All) World Congress in Dusseldorf, held from November 1-5. The SFA joined delegates from all over the world, coming together under the congress motto, ‘Sport for All: More together than ever’, to enjoy an expansive conference program, sharing experience, expertise, and knowledge. More than 350 participants from 70 countries were in attendance, with 15 conference sessions, four evening events, and three ‘Sport for All Case Study Visits’, involving excursions to Dusseldorf sports venues and the surrounding area. The main topics of the congress were: inclusion in sports, sports spaces and infrastructure, sharing expertise and knowledge, the impact of climate change on grassroots sports, sports as a peacekeeper, people’s well-being, plus sports policy and youth sports development.


SFA Participates in First Peace and Sport Middle East Forum Staged In Riyadh

The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) took part in the first Peace and Sport Middle East Forum, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from October 18-19, 2023. Powered by the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC), the Kingdom’s sport ecosystem was welcomed by the opening remarks of HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, Minister of Sports and SOPC President. The SFA, represented by an attending delegation that accompanied Federation President HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud, built on its existing work with Peace and Sports through this latest participation. Prince Khaled took part in a panel discussion that addressed sports as a tool of youth empowerment, alongside panellists Dr. Abdullah AlFozan, Secretary General King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue; Al-Batool Baroom, As part of the Forum, Saudi Arabia will also take responsibility for the #WhiteCard campaign, launched by Peace and Sport in 2014, and serving as an iconic symbol for peace through sport. While raising a white card, people show that they support peace through sporting actions. Since its inception, the campaign has reached over 900 million persons


Mumbai unit of All India Association of Sports for all celebrates TAFISA World Walking Day

Celebrating the most inclusive and accessible 24-hour relay around the world, Mumbai unit of All India Association of Sports for all, organized a march to take part in TAFISA World Walking Day. The event took place on the weekend of September 30th to October 1st with participation of citizens of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and genders. This annual event aims at building bridges and connections between people, provides a platform for raising awareness and sharing causes and values important to people, and shows that the Sport for All Movement stands together and united to create a better world.


International Scientific Conference for Sports for All concludes

Under the title (Sports for All, Investment - Development), the International Sports for All Federation, in cooperation with the Egyptian Sports for All Federation, organized the International Scientific Sports for All Conference in Cairo from September 7th - 11th. The conference, which was organized under the patronage of the Egyptian Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, witnessed the presence of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Head of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Youth and Sports Ministers, His Excellency Professor Issa Abdel Rahim, President of the International Federation of Sports for All, Dr. Catherine Carty, Director of Projects at UNESCO, and His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Sharif, First Vice President of the International Federation of Sports for All and President of the Asian Sports for All Confederation, in addition to more than 300 researchers, academics and participants representing 14 countries.

The Asian Sport for All Federation congratulates the Green Falcons and Saudi Arabia for making history in their 2022 Wold Cup opener in Qatar, as the Saudi national team beat the two-time world champions Argentina and the favorite team to win the World Cup based on AI algorithms and recorded 2-1 victory against them November 22nd 2022. Each player in the Argentina national team but one, play at the Italian, French, Spanish, German or English leagues while all of the Saudi national team players play in their home country
